During our discussion, Doc said something remarkable: ”online we are naked.”

Truly, online searches and history are tracked and the resulting data is exposed to organizations users often don’t even know, let alone trust. Even private conversations and other data shared with trusted friends, family or business colleagues on social platforms go beyond these circles and users retain very little control over it.

While online privacy or even anonymity are possible to achieve, it requires a strong technical background to set up and maintain.

In the physical world people, people do not lay bare their private lives and consumers do not put up with stealthy privacy infringements. Why would they in the digital world? why would they “click around” naked?
